Vineyards

The Principe de Viana vineyards are located in the Ribera Alta area in Navarra. A privileged area where over 800 hectares of privately owned vineyards, planted with Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, red vines and Chardonnay, Garnacha Blanca, Viura, Sauvignon Blanc and Oneca white vines.

Our aim is to respect the personality of our wines while protecting the vineyards, ensuring their essence is in no way altered.

THE SOIL

The soils vary between their different locations, some are stony with an abundance of river stones and pebbles, others with limestone marls, mostly deep, silty clay loam that provides great drainage. Each specific plot and its differences provide our wines with the nuances that terroir character allows.

THE CLIMATE

Our vineyards benefit from an ideal climate for fine wine production. Long summers, moderate temperatures and rainfall, and a remarkable temperature drop from day to night all favour optimal ripeness yet with fresh acidity in our wines.

LATITUDE

Privileged enclave where Mediterranean climate is strongly influenced by proximity to the Atlantic, allows very favourable conditions for our berries to thrive on.
